The Skylight account is the payee's personal bank account,
therefore, the responsibility for the fees associated with the Skylight account
is frequently that of the accountholder. However, it is possible to design
a pricing structure that allows the company to subsidize some or all of
the transaction expense. |
| |
|
This question might arise since ATMs cannot dispense one
dollar bills or coins. The full amount of cash in the Skylight account can be accessed
through point-of-sale terminals at participating merchants. We recommend
that Skylight accountholders leave enough balance in their Skylight account to cover any
account fees. |
| |
|
If a Skylight accountholder decides to opt out of the program,
two steps are involved. The first step is to contact their employer to stop direct deposit. The Skylight accountholder can then keep the Skylight card account
or contact Skylight to close the account. However, if the Skylight accountholder chooses to keep the card, primary funding of the Skylight account must be through direct deposit. |
| |
|
If the Skylight accountholder is an employee and the employee leaves
the company, the Skylight card account continues to operate and is completely
portable to the next employer, however, primary funding for the Skylight account must be through direct deposit. Any portion of Skylight account expenses that were
subsidized by the company will no longer be subsidized. |
