Susan Sarty has more than 25 years of experience in banking
operations, compliance and cash management, including all major aspects
of electronic banking initiatives. Prior to joining Skylight Financial,
Ms. Sarty served as a Senior Vice President with The Bankers Bank. There,
she was responsible for:
- Correspondent daily cash management for more than 350 community financial
institutions throughout the Southeast
- 280 merchant processing portfolios
- 260 agent bank credit card relationships
- 325 agent debit card portfolios
- Information System management
- Custom software development
Ms. Sarty is a graduate of Vanderbilt University's Graduate School of Bank
Operations and Technology.
With more than 25 years of Business Development and Operations
experience, Michael Meredith brings a wealth of knowledge to Skylight Financial.
Mr. Meredith joined Skylight Financial in December 2002 following a distinguished
career of succeeding positions in the Pharmaceutical and Aerospace industries
where he significantly contributed to corporate market strategy, development,
implementation and growth.
Mr. Meredith holds a MBA degree from Pepperdine University and a BS-BA from
the University of LaVerne.
Wendell Schanz has more than 35 years of experience in Sales
Management and Technology Sales, financial and professional services
industries. During his 25-year career at IBM, Mr. Schanz managed the worldwide
sales and technical resources for one of the company's top 20 worldwide
accounts.
Later, as the Director of National Accounts with Waste Management, Mr. Schanz
helped develop the company's "national sales organization" model and guided
its implementation with the company's largest national customer. Most recently,
Mr. Schanz served as Regional Sales Manager, specializing in the development
of financial analysis tools for a stored value payroll distribution company.
Mr. Schanz earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Illinois.
Mike Bryan has more than 14 years of experience in the field
of information technology for the banking industry. Prior to joining Skylight
in September of 1999, Mr. Bryan was Vice President of Systems Development
for The Bankers Bank, Atlanta, Georgia, where he spent 10 years managing
the bank's data processing area and developing custom banking software.
Prior to that, Mr. Bryan worked for First Union National Bank in their financial
systems area.
Mr. Bryan is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.S. degree
in Computer Science.
Prior to joining Skylight in August 1999, Ms. Rainey served
for eight years as Vice President of Operations for The Bankers Bank, Atlanta,
Georgia. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Georgia Automated
Clearing House Association (GACHA) for which she served as President from 1999-2002. In addition, she serves as a committee member and
instructor for the Georgia Bankers Association, Southern Operations and Technology
School. Her thirty-plus years of banking experience include associations
with The Federal Reserve Bank, Federal Home Loan Bank, First Union, and
assisting in the start-up of a de novo.
Ms. Rainey is a graduate of the Georgia Community Bankers Association Certified
Professional Banker graduate school program and is an accredited ACH Professional
(AAP).
Donna Ingram has more than 25 years of experience in the field
of accounting, with expertise in industries that include financial services,
construction, agribusiness, technology and Internet service providers.
During the first 18 years of her career, Ms. Ingram worked in the field
of public accounting. She was associated with several CPA firms, where she
focused on audit, tax and client services.
She left public accounting to join The Intercept Group as Controller. During
her tenure, Ms. Ingram helped guide the company through key acquisitions
as well as their initial public offering. Later, Ms. Ingram joined Logical
Choice Technologies as Vice President of Finance and Controller. In this
position, she helped manage a corporate restructuring and the development
of a new corporate accounting system. Prior to joining Skylight, Ms. Ingram
served as the Controller for Virtual Wellness Network.
Ms. Ingram earned a B.A. in accounting from Millsaps College, where she
graduated Cum Laude. She holds CPA certificates in both Mississippi and
Georgia.
Susan Brown Whitman has more than 20 years of banking experience,
including eight years with Firstar Bank (now known as U.S. Bank). Her experience
includes management of product development, marketing, sales and account
analysis billing. Ms. Brown-Whitman supervised a staff of approximately
75 treasury management team members in seven states, and among her achievements,
Ms. Brown Whitman managed introduction of state-of-the-art online banking
and image services. In addition her key responsibilities included product
segmentation, positioning and development for team training and motivation,
key account management, and overall product quality.
She also has experience in commercial lending, employee benefits, marketing
and retail branch management experience.
Ms. Brown-Whitman earned a B.S. in Business from Miami University and an
MBA from Ohio State University. In addition, she holds a permanent Certified
Cash Manager designation.
Mark Lama has over 15 years of experience as a private equity investor and entrepreneur.
Prior to joining Crossbow Ventures, Mark spent six years at UBS Capital Americas private equity group. At UBS Capital,
he originated, led and managed numerous private equity investments, primarily in the technology and
communications sectors. Prior to this, he spent five years at Chase Capital Partners private equity group,
where he worked on over 30 transactions, including leverage buyouts, growth equity, and venture capital investments,
investing over $100 million in the Retail, Publishing, Financial Services, Technology and Healthcare sectors. Mark received his MBA
from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colombia University,
and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Colgate University.
Daniel C. Staton is President and a Managing
General Partner of The Walnut Group, a Cincinnati based, venture capital
firm. Along with a number of other ventures, Mr. Staton served as COO
and part owner of Duke Associates in Cincinnati. Under his leadership,
Duke grew rapidly and in 1993 completed an IPO as a REIT, being listed
on the NYSE as Duke Realty Investments, Inc. Today, Duke is one of the
largest REIT's with a market cap of $5.5 billion.
Mr. Staton is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Storage Trust
Realty (NYSE) and led its merger with Public Storage (NYSE "PSA"),
where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. He served the City
of Cincinnati as CEO of the Cincinnati Development Group and has been
instrumental in the redevelopment of the downtown core area of Cincinnati.
Mr. Staton has two bachelor's degrees: a BS in Finance from the University
of Missouri, and a BS in Specialized Business from Ohio University.
Bruce V. Rauner is the Managing Principal of GTCR Golder Rauner,
which he joined in 1981. Previously, Mr. Rauner was a strategic consultant
for Bain & Company and an econometric analyst with Data Resources. He
received a BA from Dartmouth College with Highest Distinction in economics,
summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from Harvard University.
Collin E. Roche is a Principal with GTCR Golder Rauner. Prior
to joining GTCR in 1996, Mr. Roche worked as an investment banking analyst
at Goldman, Sachs & Co., and as an associate at Everen Securities. He
received a BA in Political Economy from Williams College and an MBA from
Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. Mr. Roche has worked
with management of Appnet and Cambridge Protection Industries. Mr. Roche
serves on the Board of Directors of Transaction Network Services, TSI Telecommunications
Services, InfoHighway Communications Corporation, TransFirst and Verifone,
Inc.
